We offer 3 different types of Air Source Heat Pump services:
This is a standalone Air Source Heat Pump Service; this service excludes system or unvented cylinder checks.
This visit is charged at £144 (in VAT). If the system requires multiple repair works or components we do not keep in stock, we will change the visit to our Call-out Service and charge accordingly.
This visit is perfect for those who want to maintain their system.
We recommend a Full Service is carried out every year in domestic properties.
This visit will help ensure your system is working correctly, the components are in good, safe working order, and the heat transfer fluid/anti-freeze levels are correct.
This is extremely important as the system is at risk of heat & frost damage without this.
The cost of our Full-Service visit is charged out at £216 (inc VAT).
If the system requires multiple repair works or components we do not keep in stock, we will change the visit to our Call-out Service and charge accordingly.
We also attend call-outs and carry out repairs, click the button below to find out more.

What's An Air Source Heat Pump Service
An annual air source heat pump service is a routine maintenance check that is performed to ensure that the heat pump is operating efficiently and effectively. During the service, a technician will perform a series of tasks to check the condition of the heat pump and identify any potential problems.
Here are some things you can expect from an annual air source heat pump service:
- Inspection: The technician will visually inspect the heat pump and its components, looking for any visible signs of wear or damage. They will also check the electrical connections and controls to ensure they are working properly.
- Cleaning: The technician will clean the outdoor unit, removing any debris that may have accumulated around it. They may also clean the air filter and other components as needed.
- Testing: The technician will perform tests to ensure that the heat pump is operating correctly and efficiently. This may include checking the refrigerant levels, measuring the temperature and airflow, and verifying the operation of the controls and thermostats.
- Repairs: If the technician finds any issues with the heat pump during the service, they will repair or replace any damaged or malfunctioning parts as needed.
- Documentation: The technician will document the results of the service, including any repairs or maintenance performed and any recommendations for future service or repairs.

Air Source Heat Pump Servicing FAQ's
Regular servicing helps to maintain the efficiency and performance of the system, identify and fix problems before they become more serious, and can help to extend the life of the heat pump
By optimising the system efficiency, you can reduce running costs and minimise the load on the working parts.
During our annual service we will complete tasks that will optimise the performance of the system and ensure you receive the most heat available while minimising the electric consumption.
To ensure optimum performance is achieved we will protect the water flow through the primary circuit and air flow through the air source heat pump.
Filters, strainers, and heat exchangers will be cleaned. Air will be removed from the system and the operation of key components will be checked for effectiveness.
Antifreeze levels will be checked, and the system settings will be reviewed to ensure they are optimised.
Effective servicing of your Air Source Heat Pumps and Unvented Cylinders maintains the efficiencies of the system and prevents premature failure protecting the longevity of the key components.
It is a requirement of the Manufacturer’s Warranty to have your ASHP and Unvented Cylinder serviced annually. In the event of component failure and the submission of a valid warranty claim the manufacturer will ask for evidence that the system has been serviced as required.
It is recommended to service your air source heat pump at least once a year or as recommended by the manufacturer.
The time required for an air source heat pump service can vary depending on the size and condition of the system. Typically, a heat pump service can take a an hour to complete and a system service can take around 2 hours.
It is not recommended to service your air source heat pump yourself unless you are a qualified HVAC technician. Air source heat pumps are complex systems that require specialized knowledge and tools to service properly.
